John has sung in churches since age 3, preached his first sermon at age 11, and was a Director of Church Music as a teenager. He taught Sunday School for over 40 years. Now retired, his day job was as a consulting and clinical psychologist in private practice. He also retired from Wright State University as Dean of the School of Professional Psychology. He is married to Teresa Rudisill and has two adult children. Both of of whom are in full-time Christian ministry. He has two remarkable grandsons, one of whom constructed this website.
John always loved music. He planned to become a high school band director in college (he played sax) but he fell in love with psychology and the opportunity to help people. Once he finally retired from practice at age 70, he threw himself back into music, playing and singing with thebridgeband, writing songs, and making CDs. Playing primarily at nursing homes and churches, he continues to try to help people and continue his ministry of love.
